கிறிஸ்து பற்றி தாசித்துஸ்

கிறிஸ்து பற்றி முதலாம் நூற்றாண்டு ரோம வரலாற்று மேதை தாசித்துஸ் (Cornelius Tacitus) இவ்வாறு கூறுகிறார்.

"கீழ்த் திசை மேம்பாடு அடையப்போகிறது.உலக முழுவதையும் ஆளுகை செய்கிறவர் யூதெயாவினின்றும் புறப்படுவார்"

மத்தேயு 2:2. யூதருக்கு ராஜாவாகப் பிறந்திருக்கிறவர் எங்கே? கிழக்கிலே அவருடைய நட்சத்திரத்தைக் கண்டு, அவரைப் பணிந்து கொள்ள வந்தோம் என்றார்கள்.

Tacitus (historian of the Roman Empire) tells that

"there was a firm persuasion … that at this very time the East was to grow powerful, and rulers coming from Judea were to acquire universal empire"

(Tacitus: Histories, 5:13).

Matthew 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
